Description

Connecting the Pieces, LLC (CTP) offers a variety of services to help improve the lives of children with special education needs and their families, working collaboratively with their school teams. We specialize in providing treatment to learners who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Specific Learning Disability, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, and other disorders as well as learners with no diagnosis but who present with challenging behaviors.

The person in this position is responsible for the daily aspects of the HR department including but not limited to, benefits and leave, interpreting company policy and procedure, developing new policies and procedures as required, resolving employee and independent contractor conflicts as required, and assisting with background screening, payroll and other processes.

Responsibilities
  • Effective communication of employee and independent contractor policies and procedures

  • Ensuring compliance with PA and local employment regulations

  • Developing policies and procedures as required

  • Conflict resolution

  • Develop and track improvement programs

  • Process termination checklists for employees and independent contractors

  • Review, track and document compliance with trainings and policies

  • Issue offer letters, contracts and negotiate pay

  • Handle employment and independent contractor inquiries from applicants, contractors and employees

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Recommend best practices

  • Review existing polices and recommend improvements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in related field.

  • 2 -3 years HR experience

  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania and local employment laws and regulations

  • HR certifications strongly preferred (PHR, SPHR, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with both employees and independent contractors
